Flashback: Biden’s Chief of Staff Pick Said Elections Are “Rigged”

Joe Biden’s latest fantasy league cabinet pick for chief of staff, Ronald Klain, once asserted America’s elections are “rigged.”

Klain’s remark appeared in a Twitter response to a post by Vox in July 2014, which looked at a stat claiming, “68 percent of Americans think elections are rigged.”

“That’s because they are,” Klain ominously replied, at the time unknowingly undermining the very institution that would get his potential future boss elected.

The solemn remark by Klain, who served as chief of staff to two former vice presidents, Al Gore and Joe Biden, is receiving renewed scrutiny in light of President Trump’s legal complaints alleging election fraud.

According to Breitbart, the Vice article primarily focused on gerrymandering, the process of redrawing district boundaries in favor of a certain political party in order to affect the outcome of an election.

“However, the reasoning could just as easily apply to large-scale vote-by-mail, which was introduced in the middle of the 2020 election over the objections of President Donald Trump and resulted in high Democratic turnout,” writes Joel B. Pollak.
